This pedal is based on the classic big muff circuit and takes inspiration from the 90's russian big muff with our own modifications for more controlled gain, refined attack, and a more versatile tone control.

This pedal can achieve a variety of sounds, some of my favourites include: 
 
Doom
Set fuzz around noon and tone/volume to preference and go into a dirty channel of a loud amp. Doom for days.
 
Tight Metal
Set fuzz below noon and put Tubescreamer or Klon type circuit boosting into the ugly fuzz. Set gain low on overdrive and volume high. 
 
Note: Try boosting with any type of drive, the Ugly Fuzz stacks very well with drive pedals.
 
Standard Fuzz
Set Fuzz almost to max and volume above unity. This is the standard distortion/fuzz sound from the Ugly Fuzz
